About Me

Bethany Posa: My paintings are a response to nature rather than a replication. I paint the changes that occur in nature by aiming to capture seasons and times of day. Acrylic paints have become my 'choice' media because the paint dries quickly and it leaves room for layering. Painting allows me to express myself with the intensity of color, texture, and contrast in values. I try to paint with authenticity; being both true to my emotions and subject matter. One of my favorite artists is Monet whose outdoor studies have inspired me to perfect my strength in color.I want to be remembered for serving the Lord with my commitment to art and I know I am most successful when I focus on pleasing God alone. This is only the beginning of my journey as an artist. In the future, I will improve as a painter by being open to new ideas and techniques.
